The Art of Rei Hamon & the hamon whānau
ArchiveS, Gallery & LEGACY
Kia ora, welcome to Hamon Art.
Archives and Art Gallery of Rei Hamon (C.B.E.) and his whānau (family).
A Māori Artist, environmentalist and activist.
Without the tireless work of Rei and his brothers, the native forests of Aotearoa would not be what they are today. A shearer and forest worker turned staunch conservationist, his iconic art is a mix of fantasy and realism that has travelled the world. Often spending hundreds to thousands of hours on each piece, they are embedded with his passion to preserve our native heritage, which is our forests of Aotearoa (aka New Zealand).
Our Shop: Limited Edition Prints from the Hamon family archives.
They are all from the original print plates and have not been reproduced.
